Divyaman’s artwork is a true and compelling reflection of his artistic vision and shows how deeply he is connected to the nature.
Delhi-based Divyaman Singh is a self-taught artist specialising in abstract and contemporary art. Born in the village of Chaugain, located in the Buxar district of Bihar, his childhood memories of the village played a vital role in shaping his artistic style. He developed a strong and loving bond with nature when he was a child and now, he finds his peace in the mountains and forests. He incorporates nature in his paintings, such as the forest in “Inferno” or earth in “Soil”, to show the beauty of nature.
Divyaman’s works have been showcased in art galleries across India and Europe. His artistic ability to convey his thoughts, emotions, and vision through textures and colours has won him acclaim. His paintings are mainly in oil on canvas and depict man’s quest for spiritual growth, the universe and elements.
One of his most amazing artworks is “Inward” which depicts the spiritual journey of self-discovery. This painting represents the powerful human quest for enlightenment and understanding. He has used white textured work to prompt the viewer to see deep inwards into oneself and the black space represents life.
His other striking artwork is “Pilgrimage” which draws attention towards a solitary monk who is walking purposefully to attain enlightenment. The four abodes are represented by the arches in the backdrop which symbolize the journey towards spiritual liberation.
Divyaman’s paintings also convey endurance and struggle which can be seen in one of his paintings, “Endurance”, in which a poor woman and her two starving children show their distress but their body language shows their love towards their mother. This painting signifies the hardships of labour and love of a mother despite all hardships.
Another painting named “Abyss,” creates a whirlpool of glittering gold and dark shades that show the depth of the human soul and the complexity of the experiences of humans. The painting actually invites the viewers to look at their own journey through life.
Divyaman’s artwork is a true and compelling reflection of his artistic vision and shows how deeply he is connected to the natural world. Through his paintings, he explores and lets viewers explore the themes of spirituality, human experiences, endurance, love and the deeper meaning of life.
