
The Exhibition in Kochi, held at berth Art Gallery showcased 28 artists.
Volume.Artspace, an international collective that brings together promising artists from around the world, conducted its second international art exhibition, Evolve, held from January 2 to January 7, 2024, at the Berth Art Gallery, in Kochi, Kerala. With an exciting lineup of 28 artists, the exhibition presented a diverse mix of creative works across multiple media, from painting and sculpture to printmaking, photography, video art and installations.
Founded by Dikshant Rajpaal, along with Partha Pratim Ganguli and Akashmita Roy from Kolkata, Volume.Artspace aims to provide a platform to emerging artists under the guidance of senior artists. The collective has grown to include a diverse group of creatives, including painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, and writers from various cultural and geographical backgrounds.
The exhibition also focused on two distinguished guest artists, SK Sahajahan, assistant professor at Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan and Manindra Chandra Paul, an eminent Kolkata-based artist. Both the senior artists shared their works with the public, offering inspiration and mentorship to the younger generation of artists.
The exhibition’s participating artists come from a range of backgrounds, ensuring a diverse and vibrant display of contemporary art. Notable participants include Dr Rajiv Mandal (Varanasi), David Malaker (Kolkata), Akash Biswas, Mansi Sagar (Maharashtra), Gaelle Pelachaud (France), Misha Bharti (Punjab), Raunak Gupta (Delhi), Kaushlesh Kumar (Assam), Khushboo Gupta (Delhi), Ranveer Singh (Vadodara, Gujarat), Supti Roy Das (Rajasthan), Sneha Mandal (West Bengal), Mukesh Tongaria (Rajasthan), Nandita Routh (West Bengal), Saheb Ram Tudu (Varanasi), Lincy Josey (Tamil Nadu), Bablu Bhowmick (Kolkata), Chandra Morkonda (Hyderabad), Dr. Mani Nandini Sharma (New Delhi), Soumya Dhar (Kolkata), and Partha Pratim Goswami (Assam), Samnath Roy and Dyuti Mittal.
The Evolve exhibition offered an impressive array of artworks, ranging from traditional forms to contemporary innovations. The various mediums showcased—paintings, sculptures, printmaking, video art and installations—ensured a captivating and immersive experience for visitors.
This event helped the artists engage with a broader audience, enhancing their professional growth.
