Sanskar Bharti’s special Navratri exhibition celebrates Shakti.
In a special celebration of Shakti, the Navratri festival brought the Srujan painting exhibition to life at the Sanskar Bharti’s Kala Sankul on October 5, 2024, in New Delhi. Organized by Sanskar Bharti’s Maharashtra Province, Pimpri Chinchwad Committee, this exhibition features the powerful works of four accomplished artists who have delved into themes of divine femininity, traditional styles, and mythology.
All India Organization Minister of Sanskar Bharati, Abhijit Gokhale, expressed his admiration for the exhibition, highlighting its symbolic alignment with Navratri. He remarked, “This festival of Shakti worship, dedicated to the goddess of creation, finds a fitting tribute in the theme of this exhibition. Each artist has uniquely represented styles that reflect India’s rich heritage, such as the ancient Ajanta art, the essence of feminine energy during Navratri, and the reverence for Shiv-Shakti.”
The chief guest Sanjeev Kishore Gautam also shared his appreciation, emphasizing that ‘Srujan’ beautifully weaves traditional Indian art and devotion into the spirit of the festival. “Our artists, with their mastery, uphold the values and aesthetics of Indian culture through their creations, offering a divine homage to the goddess.”
The exhibition offers a rich tapestry of artworks, including Ajantha-style acrylic paintings and intricate pieces on themes such as reflection, Shiv-Shakti, and carvings on slate. Through traditional techniques the works explore and honour women and mythology, making ‘Srujan’ an immersive experience for all who wish to connect with the powerful cultural significance of Navratri.
