Solo show by Anjali Mittal at IHC in Delhi.
A solo show by Anjali Mittal was held at India Habitat Centre (IHC), in Delhi. The exhibition titled Breaking Barriers, was inaugurated on February 25 and continued till February 28, 2026.
A self-taught artist, Anjali is inspired by nature and blends realism with abstraction. She uses bold brush strokes and develops layers on the base to bring energy, depth and movement into the work particularly through different shades of blue.
For Anjali Mittal, art is not a destination. Practicing art is an endless journey where every canvas is a new scene. Through acrylics and mixed media, she builds layers, as though uncovering stories, memories and emotions within her. Beautiful flowers, women on swings, Pichhwais with Krishna and some bold abstracts were on display.
Anjali says, “Nature deeply inspires me— the sea, the flowers, the clouds and the mountains. Everything in nature inspires me. Instead of replicating what I see, I paint how I experience them.” “Inspired by artists like Van Gogh and Monet, I use bold strokes to make my art feel happy, vibrant, and alive,” she adds.
